Happy New Year, skiers and riders! It’s hard to believe we are already entering the third month of our 60th Anniversary season. We hope you have been able to get out and enjoy the top-notch early-season conditions that November and December delivered. With a season total already well over 150 inches, we are stoked to see what January has in store. January is stacked with a full lineup of events and activities to start the year off right. Read on to get the inside scoop on what’s happening this month!
Weekly Live Music
Friday, January 6th, we are kicking off weekly live music in Rafters! Join us every Friday and Saturday for an après party from 3-5pm featuring local bands and artists. Kick back, relax, and celebrate another great day with family and friends. Don’t forget your appetite, as our chefs will be serving up food and drink specials to keep you fueled up. In between sets, our events team will bring the stoke with games, prizes, and giveaways. Plus, we will have night skiing on Fridays and Saturdays through mid-February for no shortage of mountain fun. Live Music is open to all ages and is free of cost.
BRAND X DEMO EQUIPMENT
Looking to test out the newest skis and boards this season? Brand X has got you covered with their new fleet of high-performance demo equipment. From powder skis to freeride boards, our expert technicians will help get you fitted with the perfect gear. Make your rental and demo equipment reservations online prior to arrival for the smoothest experience. Demos include a professional tune and wax. Pro tip: check out the Quiver Pass for unlimited access to demo gear all season long.
NIGHT RAIL JAM
Friday, January 6th, show off your skills at the first Night Rail Jam of the season for a chance to win some sweet prizes from our sponsors! Great viewing is available from the base area to cheer on your friends, and Red Bull will have a DJ and free samples to keep the stoke high. This event is free and open to all ages. Lift tickets are not included. Bring your “A” game and we’ll see you out there!
SNOW GLOW DISCO
Disco parties are back! Join us January 21st for a party under the lights. Dress up in your best glow-attire and enjoy a night-time shred session accompanied by disco beats, tasty treats, and family fun. This event is open to all ages and is free of cost. Event details can be found on our website.
ALPENGLOW SNOWSHOE TOUR
Friday, January 27th, explore Crystal Mountain at a slower pace. Join us for an evening snowshoe adventure led by a professional guide and experience Bullion Basin at a slower pace. Take in the beauty of Crystal Mountain from across the valley before returning to the base area for an après meal and wine tasting hosted by Browne Family Vineyards. Reserve your spot for the perfect date night, solo adventure, or group gathering. This unique experience is only offered a few times a season, don’t miss out!
60TH ANNIVERSARY PHOTO SUBMISSIONS
This season, we are celebrating 60 years of Crystal Mountain. While the mountain has grown and evolved over the past six decades, our mountain community, passionate skiers and riders, and dedicated locals have remained. In the spirit of celebration, we invite you to share your favorite memories of Crystal through the years.
