Mikaela Shiffrin, U.S. world champion alpine ski racer and Ikon Pass ambassador, made history on January 23, 2023, when she became the new all-time Women’s ski racing World Cup record holder with 83 wins at just 27 years old. We are celebrating this monumental moment with the installation of a gondola cabin honoring her win and empowering the next generation of female ski racers. The Crystal Mountain Alpine Club’s (CMAC) top female youth racers, were the first to ride on and step off the Mikaela Shiffrin gondola, celebrating the impact and power of female athletes in the outdoor industry. Take a look at the magical morning the CMAC girls had racing down Green Valley before the public, honoring Shiffrin’s triumph, and following the example that anything is possible.
