The summer months at Crystal Mountain offer just as much beauty and adventure as the winter season, but it’s not time to trade in those skis and boards just yet! We still have two more weekends of skiing and riding left before it’s time to lace up and hit the trail. Make the most of your trip to Crystal and read on to learn more about the top mountain activities you can explore at the mountain this June.

Spring skiing at Crystal

1. EARLY SUMMER SKIING & RIDING

In case you missed the big news, we have extended our ski and ride season for two additional bonus weekends in June, making this the fifth time in the last two decades that we’ve skied later than May. After riding up the scenic gondola, you can spend the day lapping Green Valley and taking in the staggering views of Mt. Rainier at the summit. It’s not every year that we can ski into the summer months, so this is a great time to take advantage of the spring snowpack, quiet slopes, endless views, and soak up winter as long as you can! Daily lift tickets are only $69 and can be purchased online or at the mountain upon arrival. Green Valley will be open for skiing and riding 9am-2:30pm, Friday-Sunday through June 12th.

Scenic Gondola at Crystal

2. SCENIC GONDOLA RIDES

The mountain isn’t just for the skiers and riders. For those of you looking to kick off summer with a fun day trip, take a ride up the scenic gondola to meet Mt. Rainier face to face and catch a glimpse of Washington State’s surrounding volcanos and world-famous peaks. After the ski season has ended, there’s no need to leave your furry friends at home. Dogs are welcome to tag along for the great mountain views, fields of wildflowers, and high alpine hikes. The Mount Rainier Gondola is open for scenic rides Friday-Sunday from 9am-5pm through June. Starting July 1st, we will open for daily scenic gondola operations.

Summit House Restaurant

3. MOUNTAINTOP DINING

Dine above the clouds for an elevated dining experience with locally sourced Northwest cuisine, accompanied by the best volcano views in the state at the Summit House. At 6,872 feet, the Summit House is Washington State’s highest elevation restaurant and can only be reached by gondola; making it the perfect place to escape hectic city life. A unique mountain experience for families, couples, and friends, you can enjoy the Summit House after skiing, or make it your destination for the day.

Whether you come to the mountains seeking an outdoor adventure, or an alpine escape, Crystal Mountain has it all. Be sure to keep an eye on our upcoming events and activities throughout the summer; there’s more to come!
