Arriving to Crystal Mountain With Patrol Director, Brent Okita

Your safety comes first. Roll along with Patrol Director Brent Okita as he shares how ski patrol is here to help and make your day on the mountain even better.

Ski Patrol is one of the first teams on the mountain every morning and one of the last to leave. You’ll typically find patrol stationed at critical on-mountain locations. Listen in as Brent Okita, patrol director, shares how to contact patrol and when to reach out.

If you need assistance

  • Look for a red jacket with a white cross
  • Stop at one of our patrol shacks
  • Ask a lift operator or any mountain staff member to contact patrol

Patrol is here for you, and no concern is too small to bring to their attention.

Uphill Travel

Uphill travel is allowed at Crystal Mountain, but it comes with specific rules designed to keep everyone safe, especially during operating hours. Designated uphill routes, time restrictions, and closures help manage interactions between uphill travelers, downhill traffic, grooming equipment, and snowmaking operations.

Skier & Rider Responsibility Code

Crystal Mountain is big, steep, and dynamic, which makes personal responsibility on the snow incredibly important. The Skier & Rider Responsibility Code helps everyone share the mountain safely, no matter your ability level.
